This was sold as Bronchial Support Tea. Same herbs, same equal parts, same farm. We changed the name, not what is in the bag. Some bags on our shelf still wear the old label while we work through them.

How do I brew Chest Tea?

Steep 1 tablespoon of Chest Tea in 8 oz of just-boiled water for 8 to 10 minutes, covered. Breathe the steam while it brews, that is half of it. Drink 1 to 2 cups a day as a routine, or up to 4 cups in the seasons when you want more of it. Honey rounds out the flavor and adds its own comfort to the throat.

What is the difference between Chest Tea and Sniffle Season Tea?

Sniffle Season Tea is built around herbs traditionally used for the head and the upper airway. Chest Tea is built around herbs traditionally used lower down, in the lungs and the chest. They are different jobs and most people who use one end up keeping both on the shelf.

Is there anyone who should skip this tea?

A few things worth knowing before you brew it. Wild cherry bark is not recommended during pregnancy or nursing. Slippery elm can slow how the body takes up medication taken at the same time, so leave a couple of hours between a cup and anything you take on a schedule. If you are on prescription medication or managing a health condition, talk to your doctor first. That is true of any herb, and we would rather say it than not.

Does the blend ever change?

Yes. We blend in small batches and we adjust as we learn and as the harvest allows. The list above is what is in the bag you would get today. When it changes, this page changes with it.

How many cups are in a package?

Enough for roughly 10 to 15 cups, depending on how strong you brew it. If you drink it daily, plan on a bag lasting a couple of weeks.

Where does this tea come from?

Hand-blended at our farm in Opp, Alabama, from herbs we grow, wildcraft, and source.
