Mullein has been used for centuries as one of the most trusted lung herbs in folk medicine. Our mullein tincture is made from leaf we wildcraft here in Alabama and extracted in small batches on the farm. Traditionally used for lung and throat health.
Learn how mullein works, how to use it, and what tradition says.
How to Use
Shake well. Take 1 dropperful (about 1 mL) in water or tea, one to three times a day. If you are new to tinctures, start with less and see how it sits with you.
What's in It
Mullein leaf (Verbascum thapsus), extracted in vodka. Nothing else. No water, no fillers, no glycerin blends, no artificial anything. Just the plant.
About This Tincture
Small-batch made on our farm in Opp, Alabama. We have worked this land since 2011 using regenerative practices. No pesticides, no synthetic inputs. The 2 oz size is the better value if you plan to use it regularly or want a supply on hand for the household.
Prefer a warm cup to drops? We sell the same leaf as Dried Mullein Leaf for tea, and our Chest Tea for a fuller blend.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is mullein traditionally used for?
Mullein is traditionally used for lung and throat health. It is one of the most widely used herbs for the chest and throat in both Western and folk herbal traditions. We make no medical claims about specific health outcomes.
Is this a tincture or a tea?
This is a liquid tincture, a concentrated alcohol extract taken in drops, not steeped like a tea. It absorbs faster than capsules or tea and is easy to add to any liquid.
How do you make it?
Two ways, both starting with the same wildcrafted leaf and the same vodka. Some batches soak for six weeks. Others go through our extraction machine, which does that work in a day. Every bottle is made here on the farm in Opp.
How long does a bottle last?
It depends on how much you use. At one dropperful a day, the 1 oz bottle lasts about a month and the 2 oz about two months.
Is your mullein grown or wildcrafted?
Wildcrafted. Wild mullein seeded itself in the stands we cut from, and we have worked them for years. Now we collect the seed heads and scatter them where we would like stands to come up, but mullein decides for itself. We cut what we use ourselves, here and on a few stands nearby. Most of what we cut comes up somewhere we did not plan. No beds, no rows, no watering, nothing added. We cut the leaf by hand and process all of it here, not from an overseas supplier.
