Backed-up sinuses make everything else harder. Sleep, concentration, breathing through a meal, none of it works right. Our Sinus Support Tea was put together for exactly that, daily use through the season when things are not moving the way they should.
We grow moringa right here on the farm in Opp, Alabama, and it anchors this blend. The rest of the herbs come from suppliers we trust, assembled and blended here by us.
What's in the Blend
- Peppermint leaf. The menthol is what you notice first. It makes the whole cup feel more open before you have taken a sip.
- Moringa leaf. Our farm-grown moringa, in here for the nutritional depth it adds to any blend we build.
- Echinacea. One of the most widely used herbs in Western practice, traditionally reached for through the cold months.
- Yarrow. Astringent, and long used in folk practice for tissue that is irritated and swollen.
- Hibiscus. High in vitamin C, and it brings the tartness that keeps this cup from tasting like medicine.
- Marshmallow root. A demulcent. It coats and soothes dry, irritated tissue in the nose and throat.
- Nettle. The one people reach for in allergy season rather than cold season.
How to Use It
Steep one teaspoon in just-boiled water for 5 to 7 minutes. Strain and drink hot. Honey works well in this one. It adds its own soothing quality and balances the hibiscus tartness. One to two cups daily through the season, or whenever your sinuses are giving you trouble.
