Dandelion flower oil made at Mayim Farm Opp Alabama

Dandelion flower oil is a slow preparation and it does not announce itself. We pick the flowers at peak bloom from our fields in Opp, Alabama, infuse them in a clean carrier oil, and let them sit until the oil turns gold and carries the scent of the flower.

It is a body oil and a massage oil. People reach for it on tight shoulders and stiff hands and dry skin, anywhere they are still carrying the day.

What is dandelion oil used for?

Dandelion oil goes on the skin, not in a cup. It is used as a massage oil for tired muscles and as a daily moisturizer for dry skin, and it works as a carrier if you like to blend your own essential oils. Rich in vitamins A and E from the flowers themselves, with a faint floral scent and nothing added to it.

How do I use dandelion oil?

Warm a small amount between your palms first, then work it into the skin with slow strokes. It can be used daily as a moisturizer or as needed on tired muscles. It layers well with essential oils if you want to make your own blend. A little goes further than you would think, so start small.

What is in it?

Dandelion flowers (Taraxacum officinale) grown on our farm in Opp, Alabama, infused in a clean vegetable carrier oil. No synthetic ingredients, no preservatives, no added fragrance. The scent comes from the flowers and nothing else.

Is the dandelion grown on your farm?

Yes. We grow dandelion at our farm in Opp, Alabama, the same dandelion that comes up across our fields every spring. We pick it at peak bloom and infuse it into oil the same day. No pesticides and no synthetic inputs, on this or on anything else in our rows.

Is dandelion oil for internal use?

No. This is for external use only. It is a body oil, not a supplement. Apply it to the skin and do not drink it.

Will dandelion oil stain fabric?

Like any plant oil, it can leave a mark. Give it time to absorb before you dress, or use it before a bath rather than right before bed on good linens.
