Chai is one of those drinks that has traveled a long way from its roots and gotten watered down along the way. Most of what gets sold as chai in the US is a sweetened powder or a syrup. This isn't that.
Our chai starts with black tea and builds from there. Cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and ginger, blended the way it was meant to be. Fragrant, warming, with a spice depth that actually means something. Brew it strong, add milk if you like, sweeten to taste. That's it.
How to Brew
Steep 1 tablespoon in 8 oz of hot water for 5 to 7 minutes. For a traditional preparation, simmer the loose tea in equal parts water and milk for 5 minutes, then strain and sweeten with honey or sugar. The simmered method pulls more from the spices and is worth the extra step.
What's In It
Black tea, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, ginger. Blended in small batches at our farm in Opp, Alabama.
Contains caffeine.
