We started Mayim Farm in 2011 with no synthetic chemicals and a lot of questions, and we have spent the years since answering them one row at a time. A consult is us sitting down with you and your own land to work through the same questions, from a first raised bed to a full working homestead.

What does a consult cover?

Whatever you need it to. We look at your soil and how to build it up without bagged fertilizer. We talk about what grows well in your zone and what is better left alone. If you want to grow medicinal plants, we go through where moringa, mullein, or sweet gum fit and how to use what you harvest. We work out layout and water and the order to do things in, so you are not fixing mistakes a year later. And we tell you what we would do on our own land, honest about what we are still figuring out ourselves.

How does it work?

There are three ways to meet. A local farm or homestead visit is $75 and covers a walk-through in person. A phone or Zoom call runs an hour for $75 if you are too far to visit or you just want to talk it through. For land outside our area, the extended-distance visit is $150 plus mileage, and we come to you. Pick the one that fits and we will reach out to set a time.
